Financial Abundance

By | Advice from Julie Murphy Casserly, Blog | No Comments

As a financial advisor who believes in building financial abundance from the inside out, it’s my hope that everyone discovers financial happiness by opening their eyes to the possibilities of a new reality– a reality filled with a combination of prosperity and inner peace.  Below are some of the financial insights I have learned over the years by really digging deep and understanding my clients.

  • Be true to yourself.

Answer this question: What is the most important thing in your life?  Is it your spouse, kids, siblings, parents, your health, career, hobby, pets? Now think about how you are currently living your life.  Are the two consistent?  Many of my clients live a life of inconsistency and they could manifest happiness (and wealth) much faster if they had listened to their inner compass.

  • Do what you are passionate about, the money will follow!

Like most people, I always thought that if you had millions, life was better.  I also always thought that the surest sign of wealth was having lots of stuff, and that stuff was the key to happiness.  I’ve since learned that my life doesn’t have to be dictated by money.  And yours doesn’t either!  Wealthy people are not necessarily the ones who have more.  The richest people are the ones who put their passions at the center of their universe.  When you are living a life of passion, the money will follow!  Wealth is truly a state of mind.  It involves being rich in every facet of your life.

  • Remove the “crabs in your bucket”

As people make changes to live their passions and improve their financial situations, they often need to remove the negative influences from their life.  This is what I call “Crabs in your Bucket,” the people who used to enable you.  They may not be your best pals once you start living your ideal life and making different decisions.  Do your best to stay on track and manage them.

  • Harmonize your financial, family and personal worlds

Many of those I have counseled over the years are filled with shame, blame and guilt.  Often times this is because they are dedicating too much of themselves to one area of their life.  If you focus on the financials, you are likely at the office for the majority of the day, and then feeling guilty for missing out on quality time with family and friends.  When your life is off-balance, happiness will never be achieved.  An important step on your financial journey to happiness and abundance is to define your ideal life from every aspect.  Once you acknowledge what this is, create a personalized plan to realize these ideals.

Facebook contest WINNERS!

By | Books and CD's | No Comments

Remember my Facebook LIKE contest? Well thanks to you, I’ve have far exceeded my original goal of 700 likes and am now over 1300! The prizes are three of my favorite books listed below. I cannot thank everyone enough for joining this community of financial healing. I know that together we can financially heal not only ourselves but the world!

Here are the winners:

Deepak Chopra’s Power, Grace and Freedom: As I recently shared, I had the great honor of speaking with him a few weeks ago at an OWN TV taping. He has truly created an incredibly supportive and uplifting community for millions around the world. This book dives into what true happiness, and how we can tap into our consciousness to attain it. It’s not a quick fix, but his words and ideas will be an excellent aide in the beautiful inward journey to your real happy place.

Dr. Wayne Dyer’s Wishes Fulfilled is a personal favorite; it helped me manifest my dreams of owning a business, writing a book and becoming a respected speaker. And now, all of those things are my reality. We are all capable of being great, and this book will help connect with your highest self in order to live a great life.

Pop an aspirin every time you have a headache? Worried about an inconclusive medical test result you recently received? So many of our physical pains are linked to emotional issues we are grappling with. Louise Hay’s Heal Your Body will have you searching for answers to your ailments in places other than your medicine cabinet. Healing your body through some simple (or not so simple) life changes is possible, and this book is an excellent guide to where that pain initiates and why it’s bothering you.

Congrats to Cynthia, Jill, Tess and Caroline! To redeem your prize, shoot me a Facebook message with your mailing address. And thanks again to everyone who is a part of this community!

The crabs in your bucket: what’s keeping you off track?

We’ve all been there. Everything is running smoothly in our lives. We’re looking and feeling our very best. Our friendships are positive and encouraging. Career-wise we are focused on a goal. And we are involved in a wonderfully healthy relationship with our finances.

Life is peaks and valleys. When we are in a good place, the difference between those two are negligible. We put bad days into perspective by brushing ourselves off and getting back into the swing of things as soon as possible. But then we find ourselves back in familiar surroundings with people who may not have our best interest in mind.

I’ve been there. Read More
